Emotional Freedom Technique

Simply put EFT is Everybody’s Freedom Technique (often referred to as tapping) and is a deceptively simple yet extremely effective method to help with a whole range of issues from everyday stress and anxiety to emotional trauma.
This extraordinary technique can be used by absolutely anybody and can be used for self-help. It is drug free and needs no specialist equipment so can be done anywhere, although tapping in public may get a curious glance here and there. It can help free you from the past, dump your emotional baggage and clear early conditioning and get right down to the roots of an issue. As a result it helps reduce stress levels and can even have a positive effect on physical discomfort. EFT is often effective where other methods have failed as the act of tapping whilst exploring the issue helps to engage different part of the brain and thereby gives a more balanced outcome. It is usually fast acting, long lasting and gentle and can even be effective for pets and small children.

How can EFT help?

There are several ways in which EFT can be used and one of the most useful is ‘Traffic Lights Tapping’. This easy to use technique was developed by Gwyneth Moss of the EFT Guild and can be used as an everyday balancer or as an emergency first for anxiety and panic.
It can also be applied for dealing with various problems either as self help or with a practitioner like myself and may help deal with
• Cravings and addictions
• Physical discomfort and pain management
• Fears and phobias
• Anxiety and panic
• Low self-esteem and depression
• Anger
• Grief
• Guilt
• Insomnia

Why see a practitioner?

Many issues are manageable by ourselves however, working with a practitioner can help shorten the time needed to deal with an issue, help to pinpoint where the problems is coming from and to focus on manageable aspects to help prevent overwhelm.

What happens during a session?

Sessions are carried out over Zoom (it is not necessary to have Zoom as I will send a link for this) and we will begin by discussing what the problem/issue is that you want to work on.  I will then show you how to carryout the tapping technique and guide you through the process.

How long is a session and how many will I need?

Sessions are usually 1 hour although you can book a 90 minute or 2 hour session if the issue is more in depth. Everyone is different and some issues can be deceptively simple but come from something much deeper so it is difficult to say how much work needs to done.  Sometimes one session proves to be enough.
