Traffic Light Tapping
A very useful tool for anyone to help deal with daily stress, Traffic Light Tapping is simple and easy to use either as an emergancy first aid or just to keep you feeling balanced and stress free. It can be carried out periodically through the day, for example whilst waiting for the kettle to boil or in the shower, anytime you have a couple of minutes to spare.
Alternatively check in with yourself from time to time to see how you are coping – everything is going well and stress levels are minimal, then that’s green so just carry on. If you feel a little flustered but are ok and able to keep going then this is amber – tap when you next get the oportunity. However if you are struggling to keep going and beginning to feel overwhelmed or agitated then stop now and tap!
Use the finger pads of one/two or three fingers for tapping on the points below.
Start by making yourself comfortable and taking 3 slow breaths.
Tap round the points as follows, about 10-15 times per point or for as long as feels right for you.
1. karate chop point
2. inside corner of the eyebrow
3. outside corner of the eye
4. under the eye
5. under the nose
6. on the chin just under the lip
7. on the chest about one inch below and out from the two nobbly bits on the collar bone
8. under the arm about a hands width below the armpit
9. on the chest
Take another 3 slow breaths and tap round the points again, then finish with 3 slow breaths.

For most an hour’s session at a time is good, however for some a longer time maybe beneficial, for example if the issue is very complex. If you are unsure what option to choose then please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
